On East Colorado Street in Glendale, Lodge #1289 has been a cornerstone of this community for well over a century. Rated 4.6 stars by members and guests alike, this is the kind of place where a stranger walks in and leaves as a friend. The bar is well-stocked, the bartenders know their craft, and the crowd is genuinely welcoming, whether you're a longtime Elk or stepping through the doors for the first time.

The lodge hosts everything from intimate birthday gatherings to large anniversary celebrations with room for the whole family. Guests rave about the Thanksgiving dinner served at just $25 to $30 per person, a tradition that draws the community together every November. Ample on-site parking makes it easy to arrive, and the lodge even accommodates small RVs with electric hookups, roughly 10 spaces for travelers passing through the San Fernando Valley corridor.

Beyond the events and the bar, Glendale Elks Lodge #1289 is part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a national fraternal organization with deep roots in charitable giving, veterans support, and youth programs. The work done here extends far beyond these walls and into the neighborhoods of Glendale every single day.

What We Offer

The lodge is available for private event rentals covering anniversaries, birthday parties, retirement celebrations, quinceañeras, and corporate gatherings. The venue offers flexible space that scales from an intimate dinner to a full banquet, with a full-service bar and experienced staff who know how to keep a party running smoothly.

Regular community events are a staple here. The Thanksgiving dinner is the signature annual event, but the lodge calendar runs year-round with member mixers, holiday parties, and charity fundraisers. RV travelers will appreciate the electric hookup spaces on the property, a rare and practical amenity in the middle of urban Glendale.

Membership in Lodge #1289 opens doors to the broader Elks network across the country, plus local benefits including discounted event access, use of the bar and lounge, and the opportunity to participate in community service programs that support veterans, scholarship recipients, and local youth.

"Great venue for events and they put on a really great Thanksgiving dinner for 25 or $30 and they have a great bar and great bartenders. I’m sure they put on other events too, but it was my first time going there."

"Absolutely outstanding Lodge with excellent members. We felt welcomed immediately. It was a lovely event for a special initiation. We had a great lunch afterwards that was complimentary. The cocktails were amazing. Most of all everyone was so kind and welcoming. We really enjoy visiting this lodge. They do have some RV sites. They also have some great rental options for events."

"Great place for a refreshment. One of their members bought us some drinks there. Friendly people with a pleasant attitude. We held a broadcast show in their parking lot and got the food for the event from them. What quality and service! Real nice burger with all of the fixings and big fries....really nice. They seem to have rooms and a bar or two for special events. When I get home, I am looking for an Elk Lodge to join!"
